Day 1
Day one, top of Yastrebets. Wind cutting in from the left, snow squeaking under your skis. You take one run. Your instructor watches.
That's all it takes. By the bottom, they already know the turn that's catching you, the foot you trust too much, the bit of fear that's making you sit back. Then they pick the run that fixes it. The pitch that forces the foot you don't trust. The bumps that punish sitting back. The crud that won't let you cheat the turn. By lunch, the problem you came in with isn't there anymore.
